Background of Kim Il Sung

 

• As a child, he was born into a poor family.
• He was not originally from Korea in his young ages, he was from China. Sung joined the Communist Party of China and later on joined the anti-Japanese guerrilla groups.
• During WWII, his military position resided with the Soviet Army.
