  • Elections do occur every 5 years in North Korea
    • In fact, the turnout at the most recent election, in 2014, was 99.97%.
      • Compared to 60.2% in the 2016 US election
    • However, there is only one candidate on the ballot, Kim Jong Un, who won 100% of the vote share.
